Scouting America registration is always open.   

Pack 31 requests all registrations with BSA be completed online. Memberships are valid for 12 months and renew on the member's anniversary month.

The membership funds go straight to the national BSA organization and do not support Pack31's operating costs. These registration fees allow Pack31 to be charted with the BSA organization and provides cover of essential services. These services include program resources, liability insurance for approved Scouting activities, youth protection background checks, and local council operations and resources (campground maintenence, administration, and more). 

BSA’s registration fee is $85 for one year.  A $2 insurance fee is assessed covering liability insurance for scout events.

Registered members will be personally responsible for their annual membership renewal.  Members receive emails two months before their registration expires, with reminders every 15 days until renewal is complete. 

Pack dues remain with the pack.  The pack must have access to funds to provide a robust program. 

Initially, some of the dues will be used to cover adult leader registration because we are grateful for their dedication and investment of time.  Dues are also used for den meeting materials, awards, belt loops, patches, religious emblems, campsite reservations, supplies for fall and spring campouts, catered meal and supplies for our annual Blue and Gold banquet, Pinewood Derby car kits, derby trophies, and other agreed upon costs that serves the pack.  

Pack dues are currently $65 for the year. This is ADDITIONAL to registration fees and stays here with our unit. This is collected the beginning in September at the start of the scouting year,  with a strict due date by the end of Halloween. Remittance by check can be made to Blessed Sacrament Pack 31. Charges and credits are documented in your Scoutbook profile. 

Occasional extra fees are somtimes required by participants to cover meals for camping trips and other pack events.
